Social Services
The department offers referrals for Medicaid, substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, sexual abuse, and its prevention.
The Town of Redding provides an emergency fuel bank to residents who meet specific guidelines, funded by the Operation Fuel Program and donations from local churches and residents.
Additionally, there is a food pantry stocked by local residents, churches, and other gifting programs.

Update about The Food Pantry:
The Redding Social Service Food Pantry is transitioning to Grocery Gift Cards or Cash Donations only.
This change respects people’s dignity and privacy while encouraging greater participation to help those in need.
- Cleaning Supplies: Windex, wipes, soaps, laundry detergent, fabric softener, Lysol spray, etc.
- Incidentals: Hair conditioner, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap, deodorant, etc.
